Why do you charge for a diagnostic?

Finding the cause takes a trained technician and test equipment. The $89 is credited in full when you approve the repair.

Can the price change after I approve it?

No. The approved flat price is what you pay, unless you ask for extra work, which gets its own price first.

Do you offer financing?

How our pricing works

Short answer

Airwork charges flat prices, not hourly rates. A diagnostic visit is $89 and is credited in full when you go ahead with the repair. Common AC repairs start at $189, a new central AC at $7,900 installed and a heat pump at $9,400 before rebates.

The technician diagnoses first, then shows you the findings with photos and a flat price for each option on a tablet. If you approve, the diagnostic fee is credited. If you decline, you pay only the diagnostic. Prices are the same everywhere in our service area and on weekends; after-hours emergency calls add a posted fee that you hear before we dispatch.
