About HVAC service in Glendale

Airwork serves Glendale with AC repair and replacement, furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits and maintenance, by technicians licensed under CSLB #1148919. Glendale is 4.1 miles from our Burbank base, inside the fast zone: typical arrival is 45 to 65 minutes for same-day calls.

About Glendale homes

Glendale mixes hillside homes in Chevy Chase Canyon and Verdugo Woodlands with apartment blocks and condos closer to Brand Boulevard. Two local rules matter here: Glendale Water and Power pays its own heat pump rebates, and the city adopted a rule that is expected to require a heat pump or added efficiency measures when an AC is replaced in a single-family home, starting around December 18, 2026. Repairs are not affected.

Glendale's housing splits by terrain. South of the 134 freeway and around Brand Boulevard, most people live in apartment buildings and condos, from 1960s walk-ups to the newer towers downtown. North of it, single-family streets climb into the Verdugo and San Rafael Hills. Rossmoyne, Kenneth Village and Sparr Heights are mostly 1920s to 1940s houses, many on raised foundations. Chevy Chase Canyon and the Verdugo Woodlands add hillside and canyon homes from the 1920s through the 1960s, often under heavy oak cover.

Each setting has its own weak spots. Older houses tend to have undersized return air, so the system whistles at the grille and the coil can freeze. Canyon homes deal with leaf litter, pine needles and ash in outdoor units, and with long refrigerant lines up the slope. In condos, the condenser may sit on a shared roof, which means HOA access rules and a building manager on the call. Apartments built before the 1980s often have only through-wall units or wall heaters.

We solve these one at a time. Return grilles get enlarged or added, canyon units get better placement or guards, and for condo owners we arrange roof access before the visit.

We work across Glendale, including Adams Hill, Chevy Chase Canyon, Rossmoyne, Verdugo Woodlands, Sparr Heights, Kenneth Village, Downtown Glendale.

5-minute check

Before you call: AC blowing warm air?

  1. Thermostat on Cool Set it a few degrees below room temperature, and replace its batteries if the screen is faint.
  2. Swap a dirty filter A gray, clogged filter starves airflow and can freeze the indoor coil.
  3. Reset the breaker once If the AC breaker trips again, leave it off and call us.
